I couldn't be more delighted by this show directed by Christophe Leclercq. Christophe and I have worked together on multiple shows, but I have to say that this is one of my favorites. Add to this the fact that I have been working on a non-Disney related project for the last few months and you can imagine what watching the show for the first time felt like! I wrote the script and was a part of the creative design phase with the costume and set designers, and then missed the entire production phase! So it felt to me like everything that Christophe and I had imagined literally jumped off the page and into reality!
The idea for this show began with the concept of a moveable set that could unfold and slide into different configurations, a little bit like a child's pop-up storybook. The pop-up part ended up being impossible on such a large scale, but I think the feeling is still there.
I'm immensely proud of this show and want to give a huge shout-out to the entire team for bringing it too life so magically!
